KERSTIN BENNITZ (2021)

Swedish Kerstin Bennitz runs the company Fargefjord Design in Flekkefjord. She and her family moved here in 2016. When the artist came to Flekkefjord, she fell in love with the city and developed a design that, among other things, shows off our tourist attractions in a brilliant way. This design has now been used on children's clothing, adult hats and cups! Kerstin has studied Visual Communication at Drammen University College. Her art is characterized by conscious use of color, high feelgood factor and stylistic design.

“RUNDTUR” - (Round trip)

Created in 2021, «Round trip» is located on the wall of the brewery “Centralbybryggeri”. The work represents Flekkefjord and the surrounding area. Here, much of what you can find in Flekkefjord is intertwined into a creative whole. Our four main tourist attractions - Hollenderbyen (The Dutch Quarter), Flekkefjordbanen (Railwaybiking), Hidra and Brufjell - are all included. This artwork is intented to give the viewer a visual experience.

«Flekkefjord is known for its nice atmosphere and lovely surroundings. It is a safe, exciting and beautiful city and I am very grateful to be able to live here ", says the artist. The idea is that everyone should be able to find something that appeals to them in this work. Both in the form of actual elements, colors or in the happy and vibrant graphic whole. The motif was initially designed for a repetitive pattern on fabric.

Anette Borge as an artist - Anette Borge and Kerstin Bennitz got to know each other when working together in Drammen. Annette is an established visual artist from Drammen. She has previously worked on several street art projects before she contributed to this piece of street art.
