BYTEPPET (THE CITY CARPET)
The City Carpet from 2019 is beautifully located by the waterfront, at the end of Sirdalsgaten next to Flekkefjord Museum. The artist is interested in the development of ornaments through the history and role they play in our civilization. ALI's art is always related to the history of the street in which they are located. His ornamental art covers roads, floors, walls and ceilings. In Flekkefjord, Ali's ornamental, symmetrical patterns fit well with the white, historic buildings in the Dutch quarter (Hollenderbyen). The patterns in ALI's street art in Flekkefjord are based on patterns he has found in local buildings and architecture. The City Carpet is a very popular selfiespot.
