M.U.M (2021)

Inspired by nature - M.u.M is a graphic designer who was born in Chile and now lives in Bergen. He started painting in the mid-90s. His style is colorful, adventurous and mysterious. M.u.m's street art is easy to recognize with its imaginative figures, vibrant colors, plants, rainbows and eyes. The artist tells us that he loves nature: "It inspires me, makes me feel good and often reveals something fun!". He continues, "In my head I see my characters as urban indigenous peoples who are there to remind us of our connection with nature."

MOSS GREEN AND THE FOUR BIRDS

The work "Moss Green and the 4 Birds" was made in 2021 on the end wall of Amfi Flekkefjord. According to the artist, eyes and rainbows are often seen in his art, as eyes are windows into the soul, while the rainbow consists of sun and water, the two life-giving elements on the planet. "They both symbolize freedom," says the artist. When we ask him about the meaning of his art, he says that his main theme is the love of nature, respect for the animal world, and natural elements. The artist and his wife, Claudia, spent 14 days in Flekkefjord to complete the enormous work, while they worked, talked to the locals and enjoyed the good atmosphere in Flekkefjord!
